 SUA GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATIONS (GDPR) POLICY


January 2019


1. The SUA is a charity within the UK Unitarian community, recognised by and under the umbrella of the General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches (GA).  As such the SUA accepts guidance and support from the GA in respect of GDPR.


2. The SUA shall keep as few records as are necessary to conduct the administration of the charity in conjunction with the leaders of the member congregations and the individuals seeking grants from the charity.


3. The SUA shall periodically review its data holdings and eliminate unnecessary records. 


4. The SUA shall not pass on any data to third parties without the explicit consent of the person owning the data.


5. The SUA shall not send any unsolicited communication except insofar as it cannot discharge its function without doing so.


6. On the instigation of new projects the impact on the project or its stakeholders in terms of GDPR will be analyzed and appropriate data protections applied.
